Last week I reached out and asked for tv show tips, and a few of you responded.
What was my choice? Well, I'm glad you asked.
The Vampire Diaries!
Who can resist a 35 year old man playing a 150 year old vampire trapped in a 17 year old's body? Wow. That was a mouthful. Seriously though, I had to google Mr. Hotty Pants, Ian Somerholder, and when I did, not only was a I greeted with a plethora of amazing pictures, I also learned he's a few years older than I am.
Odd.
Why does Hollywood choose actors who are so much older than the characters they're portraying?
I'm not complaining.
The fact Hollywood chose this man makes me feel a little less creepy when I think, "he's hot!"
And while I am watching back-to-back episodes of Season 1, my problem with the show comes from the fact that every single character is GORGEOUS.
Even the druggie chick.
Why can't they have some flaws? Why can't they be "ugly" on the outside and beautiful on the inside?
Sigh.
Anyway, I do have lots of questions about the series, and I'm sure I'll be back to post more about the show soon.
For now, I must sleep.
Who knew humans needed to close their eyes and rest their brain in order to function?
Night!

I love this show. Ian is hot. Actually, Damon is supposed to be around 21 and Stephan is 17. I knew once you watched, you'd be hooked. You have about 2 or 3 weeks until the new season starts. Plenty of time for you to get caught up.
ReplyDeleteHmm, since I'm pushing 50, I guess I would have to feel a bit creepy about ogling 60% of the Hollywood hotties...LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have the first season of Grimm and Once in my Netflix queue, and will have to plow through those first before I take on Vampire. I'll have to read your updates to see whether I want to put this one in my queue or not. :)
I'm trying my darndest to catch up. (You like that made-up word?)
ReplyDeleteWe can be young-guy-chasing-old-ladies together. How's that sound? :-)
ReplyDeleteTVD is my favourite TV show right now. Hope you stick with it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched this show but I know one of our favorite characters from H2O (Australian type 90210 but cleaner that my girls watch) joined the cast after H2O was cancelled. Maybe if I ever have some time I'll catch up with it:-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Oh, I'm not sure I want to be a "cougar." ;D
