Friday Funny

Kid #3 faked me out Wednesday. She wailed and screamed and wouldn't walk. So I did what any good mother would do and ignored her rushed her to the hospital. It was POURING out. The roads were flooded and my ears were ringing from her high-pitched cries, but I pressed on. The triage nurse took all Kid #3's vital signs then said our wait could be a few hours. CRAP! But the baby was sick, so there I sat.

After about an hour in the waiting room, her wails turned to laughter. She wanted to get up and run around. She sang her favorite song, Hello (if you've never heard it, I suggest checking it out...FUN), she squealed and smiled . . . and I thought "What the heck?!"

So we signed her out and went home. She's been fine since.

Little trickster!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  10. Well I should say she sings HELLO (lol...she learned the word hello from that song) and she dances. ;-) The rest of the words...ummm...way above her skills. hehe

  13. ROFL!!! Awesome! Strangely enough, I know exactly what you feel like. My kids do that all the time, so much so, we now have a reputation at the A&E.

    Glad she's OK!

My daughter did the same to me last year. Screamed with an ear ache. Couldn't console her. Took her to casualty and within half an hour she was no longing hugging her ear screeching. We waited. And waited. (Anxious Mother here.) Turned out she had an airlock and it cleared itself. Apparently, it happens all the time! Glad to hear I'm not the only one:-)

  15. Christmas last year, my son had a bad cold, and was havving some sort of discharge coming throuh his eyes. We called the oncall Doc, from his pediatrician's office and she asked some questions, which we in turn asked him. Anyway, it wasn't long 'til we were rushing him to the ER, in fear that he might have a serious eye infection of some sort.

It turned out that it was nothing, too bad. But it being Christmas, one of the Nurses in the Children's ER was going around and handing out stuffed animals to all the patients.

Needless to say, over the next three weeks, any time he was bored, he would say: "Mommy, my eyes hurt", in hopes of going back to the hospital to get another stuffed panda.

Kids are just amazing and devious and fun...
